WHY QUIETMOVES

Built from the experience
of doing the hiring.

QuietMoves began with a recurring problem in in-house talent acquisition: useful information exists, but it is difficult to assemble into a dependable view.

In development. Registration is not open yet.

THE STARTING POINT

Each source shows
part of the picture.

Candidates hold detailed experience that a CV or job title may only partly explain. Employers describe similar requirements in different ways.

Agency networks, job boards and LinkedIn can all help. Information about skills, salaries and availability comes with different coverage and assumptions, making it difficult to compare.

What should a role pay? Where are people with the experience? Would they consider the working arrangements? Could someone from another field do the work?

WHAT WE’RE BUILDING

Better information about
specialist talent.

We’re building QuietMoves to connect individual career choices with employers’ hiring needs and a clearer understanding of specialist talent markets.

The platform will focus on relevant profiles, clear opportunities and introductions that candidates choose to accept. Building that properly also helps us understand where the evidence is strong and where information is missing.

As the evidence develops, it should become useful to communities, educators, investors and public bodies too.

THE WIDER CONTEXT

The same questions
reach across sectors.

These observations describe different parts of the market. They explain why detail matters; they are not a measure of QuietMoves’ coverage.

LOOKING INTO 2027

Follow the investment.
Check the hiring.

On 15 October 2026, the British Business Bank announced £180m of commitments across six AI and deep tech funds, spanning early-stage and growth investment. Those funds had collectively raised over £1bn.

Our outlook: new funding can support future recruitment, but demand will vary by company, discipline and location. We want to track where it becomes confirmed hiring, and what experience employers need.

This is our assessment, not a numerical jobs forecast.

UK FIRST

A clear starting point.
Room to develop.

The first focus is the UK, across defence, secure technology and related deep-tech sectors. Expansion into allied markets is a longer-term ambition.

QuietMoves remains in development. We’ll distinguish working features, proposed capabilities and published evidence so visitors can assess the service as it develops.

first release.

We’re developing QuietMoves around real candidate and employer needs. The first registration will collect early interest; profiles and introductions will follow.
